The Home Upgrade Grant (HUG) will provide energy efficiency upgrades and low carbon heating to low-income households living in off-gas grid homes in England to tackle fuel poverty and make progress towards Net Zero ambitions.
How HUG1 is being delivered
HUG1 is the first wave of HUG funding from the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero. The Hub made a successful bid for £5m of funding and this is being delivered in Swindon and Wiltshire by City Energy on behalf of the Hub.
We are expecting a number of homes to be upgraded looking at Fabric first and upgrading the energy efficiency of the home towards an EPC and for this work to develop into future waves of funding.
Who is eligible?
You may be able to access funding if your home is in the Swindon or Wiltshire area and is:
- Off-gas grid
- Your total household income is below 30,000 per annum
- Your home has an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) E, F or G.
Find out more about the EPC of your home and whether your property has a valid certificate on the GOV.UK website.
