Programme Manager

David has recently been appointed to the role of Programme Manager. Prior to his appointment he was the Hub's Senior Project Manager and Manager of the Project Development Team. David is passionate about the delivery of low carbon projects and has over 12 years’ experience specialising in heat related technologies. David brings considerable expertise in the areas of skills, green finance, and the self-funded retrofit market to his new role.

Arabella Peatfield

Programme Support Officer

Arabella co-ordinates support across the hub programmes to share and transfer knowledge, report to central government and support the monitoring and governance functions of the Hub. With an extensive background in communications, Arabella brings experience of delivering national engagement campaigns, as well as supporting local authorities and community energy groups to communicate effectively around their Net Zero goals.

Georgina Gray

Senior Communications and Marketing Officer

Georgina delivers the communications and marketing activity for the Hub. She manages the Hub’s communications channels and creates content to promote projects and show how the Hub supports the delivery of Net Zero in the region. Prior to joining the Hub, Georgina worked as a freelance communications consultant and before that as a Comms and Marketing Manager at Bristol City Council.

John Allen

Manager, Project Development Team, Interim

John is managing the Project Development Team in the interim while a recruitment process for the role is underway. He is also the Hub's Buildings Decarbonisation Manager and Manager of the Public Sector Decarbonisation Skills service.

Linda Irwin

Project Manager, West of England LEP

Linda joined the hub in 2021 bringing a wide range of skills from her diverse experiences in civil engineering and project management. She is the Hub lead for transport and is always on the lookout for good ideas! Linda is the hub-funded provider of local capacity support for the West of England area, helping to deliver net zero projects in her area.

John Lancaster

Project Manager, Solent LEP

John is the Hub’s Project Manager for the Solent area. He specialises in the financial appraisal and development of renewable energy projects. Areas of particular interest include community ownership, ESCO and private wire models, local electricity supply, virtual PPAs and hydrogen supply.

Adam Longfield

Project Manager, Cornwall & Isles of Scilly LEP

Adam has worked in both the private and public sector providing solar PV design, technical support and advisory services. He also has considerable experience with other low carbon technologies and dealing with District Network Operators. Adam works with the Hub’s stakeholders across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly to develop and deliver impactful renewable energy projects.

Sam Moore

Project Manager, Dorset LEP

Sam joined the Hub as Project Manager for Dorset in 2021. Previous experience includes careers in investment management, energy efficiency and heat networks. He represents the South West in the Net Zero Hubs’ Green Finance Working Group, incentivising investment and opportunities for collaboration. Sam holds qualifications in finance, Heating Design and Hydronics for Air Source Heat Pumps.

Buildings Decarbonisation Manager, Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme (PSDS)

John’s work as Building Decarbonisation Manager for the PSDS team focusses on the delivery of low carbon heat and renewables development. John has a great deal of experience delivering projects in complex situations including Grade I listed buildings requiring innovative solutions to meet the requirements of the surroundings.

Zero Carbon Buildings Engineer, Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme (PSDS)

Elli is part of the Hub’s PSDS team, supporting public sector organisations to achieve the heat decarbonisation of their estate.S he is a Registered Architect and a Certified Passive House Designer, specialising in low/net zero carbon design and has extensive experience in multi-objective building design optimisation.

Community Energy

Katherine Rooney

Project Manager, Community Energy

Katherine is the Hub’s lead for Community Energy, managing applications to the Community Energy Fund from across the South West, as well as supporting community energy work more broadly. She has significant experience working with community groups and delivering projects in partnership with government. She has worked for Bristol City Council’s City Innovation Team, and at Sustrans.

Project Officer, Community Energy

Margaret supports the delivery of the Community Energy Fund and other Hub Community Energy initiatives. In addition she manages a funded Carbon Literacy training programme to local authorities in the South West and delivers Carbon Literacy training in the West of England Combined Authority as part of a team of in-house trainers.

Team Manager, Housing Retrofit

Joanne is a passionate Retrofit manager with a diverse background in Project Management which includes Mining, Chemical Engineering and Roads. She is a skilled qualified Retrofit Project Manager with over 7000 homes delivered. X Stop

Adam Beveridge

Project Manager, Housing Retrofit

Adam joins the Hub as a Project Manager delivering domestic retrofit programmes. Through his work managing the Department of Energy Security and Net Zero's Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund, Adam helps his projects overcome the complex challenges associated with decarbonising the UK housing sector.

Fazil Chudry

Project Officer, Housing Retrofit

Fazil is a Project Officer for the Housing Retrofit team. With an academic background in Architectural Engineering and previous experience working as a Retrofit Assessor, and VAT Compliance Officer, his role is to assist the team in a technical capacity to help deliver impactful retrofit projects.

Antonia Craze

PROJECT Manager, HOUSING RETROFIT

Antonia is a Retrofit Project Manager delivering grant funded retrofit projects across the South West. Her background is in working for local authorities where she strategically delivered a domestic energy efficiency agenda including housing retrofit, behaviour change and renewables.

FINANCIAL PROJECT OFFICER, HOUSING RETROFIT

Joel coordinates financial processes for housing retrofit projects, alongside the associated governance, communication and reporting requirements. His background is in the financial coordination of academic research grants at the University of Bristol and Client and Carer Finance for local authorities.

Regional Delivery

Hayley Ash

Senior project manager, Regional Delivery

Hayley has recently joined us as the Regional Projects Team lead, supporting projects including the Community Energy Fund, Local Energy Advice Demonstrator (LEAD) and the Local Net Zero Capacity and Development Fund. Prior to joining the Hub, Hayley has worked in local authorities in Derbyshire and Bristol, delivering co-designed interventions with communities. More Recently Hayley managed the REPLICATE programme (Horizon 2020) and was Senior Project Manager for the City Leap Client Function.

Project Manager, Local Energy Advice Demonstrator

Jason joined the Hub's Retrofit Team in 2022 working on the delivery of the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund programme. He is now moving into the role of Project Manager on the Local Energy Advice Demonstrator (LEAD) project working with local advice providers offering in-person advice and support to people who are hard to reach or those living in hard-to-treat properties.

Project Officer, Local Energy Advice Demonstrator

Sam is a new member of the Hub team, he will mainly be working on the LEAD programme as a Project Officer. He has previously worked for a local authority connecting skills and education with business growth, in both delivery and project management support roles.

Project Officer, Local Net Zero Fund

Jess is a Project Officer working on the administration of the Local Net Zero Capacity and Development Fund. Before joining the Hub she worked in an Innovation Delivery team in the private sector focussed on facilitating organisational change, primarily through the management of digital automation projects and conducting market research and data analysis on the environmental and sustainability markets.

Senior Data Performance Officer

Matt plays a key role gathering and reporting the Hub’s data and making sure it is readily available. He uses mapping and interactive data visualisation software to make sense of the numbers in the context of net zero targets and to help visualise the outcomes of projects and programmes.
